A
- judicial review –> review decisions made by public bodies or gov ministers and determine whether lawful
- uphold rule of law –> ensure all gov actions r according w law + no one is above
- HRA 1998 –> determines whether legislation compatible w HRA if not they can issue a declaration of incompatibility
- chairing public inquiries –> senior judges do this
