What is the Baptismal Mission?
Each Christian is called into Christ’s mission, which is in fact the mission of the church.
What is the Paschal Mystery?
A central concept of Christian belief that includes the crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus.
What is a Doxology?
Words of praise to God that are typically found at the end of a prayer or hymn.
What is Conversion?
A turning away from evil and sin to good, God, and love.
What is Temptation?
Objects and actions that appear desirable to us but lead us into sin.
What is an Indulgence?
A special kind of grace freely offered from God that releases or frees someone from partial or full consequences or punishments for sins that are forgiven.
What is Contrition?
Showing sorrow for our sins.
What is a Paraclete?
An advocate or helper, especially the Holy Spirit; comes from the Greek word meaning ‘someone called to stand alongside you.’
What is Mercy?
God’s forgiving, unconditional, generous, and compassionate love.
Who is a Prophet?
Messengers for God on Earth; they foretold the coming of the Messiah who God would send to save the world.
