Who is John Wesley?
He is the founder of Methodism.
What is Methodism?
Methodism is a Protestant denomination focused on personal piety & social holiness.
What was the Holiness Movement?
It was the movement within various Protestant denominations emphasizing sanctification and spiritual perfection. (mid 19th century)
What is Pentecostalism?
The Christian movement emphasizing the baptism with the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues.
Azusa Street Revival
The start of the modern Pentecostal movement - spiritual ceremonies that focused on speaking in tongues, holding snakes, “saving” people. (April 9, 1906)

Periods of passion in religion due to increased conversations and spiritual awakenings.
Evangelical Christianity
