How does antibiotic resistance happen?
A
Genetic variation occurs due to mutation which makes an antibiotic resistant bacterium which survives after an antibiotic is used that kills all other strains of bacteria leaving the antibiotic strain to survive and reproduce causing the population of the resistant strain to rise and it spreads as people are not immune to it nor is there is no effective treatment
