AIM
A: albuterol, first line treatment, rescue inhaler
I: ipratropium, dry out secretions
M: methylprednisolone, decrease swelling

-shake before giving
-take before other resp drugs
-bronchodialator
-normal SE: tachycardia, tremors, tossing and turning at night

-an anticholinergic, reduces mucus production
-dries out body so increase fluid
-avoid if people have fluid retention problem
-crush up in inhaler device before taking

-methylprednisolone
-reduces swelling
-risk of seosis or infection with steroid
-use spacer and wash mouth out
Theophylline use, toxicity
-bronchodilator
-speeds up HR
Report tachycardia and dysrhythmia—> toxic
-20 or more is toxic, leads to seizure
