The imminency doctrine is applicable to any generation because even after the church is raptured, the Jews will still look for the Messiah.
- The ultimate picture of Jesus is that of a conquering Christ. Why do people get confused here?
When Christ came as Messiah, he was a ( carpenter) and not a (conquerer). The Jews were looking for one to release them from roman oppression. Instead Christ peace peace and loving your brother. He even suggested that when a roman soldier appointed you to carry his pack a mile, you carry it to.

Christ will first come for the Church and then he will come again after the abomination of desolation.
