How is Rh typing performed on gel?
Steps

A

Using gel
1. Add 10uL of the (3-5%) patient RBC sample to all 6 microtubules.
2. Centrifuge for 10mins in ID-Centrifuge
3. Read and record results.

How is Rh typing performed in tubes?
Steps

A
  1. Set up rack correctly
  2. Add 1 drop of Anti-D/C/c/E/e/K into tubes.
  3. Add 1 drop of test cells (3-5%) + Positive + Negative control into tubes.
    *Choose pos/neg control for each antiserum from Screening Cells.
  4. Incubate at RT for 5 mins.
  5. Spin all tests at P5 in bench centrifuge
  6. Read + record results.
