Recerrent fevers and serositis
Episodes last 1-3 days
Intervals between episodes highly variable- weeks to years

Complication: amyloidosis with eventual renal failure if uncontrolled

Management goals: prevent acute attacks and minimise subclinical inflammation between attacks
Colchicine used for prophylaxis
If colchicine resistant: IL-1 inhibitor
