Education in Rio
-Half of children continue school after age 14, shortage of schools, teachers have low pay > young people are encouraged to volunteer to help in schools, school grants are given to poor families, private uni opened in Rocinha
Water supply in Rio
-12% do not have access to running water, 37% of water is lost to poor infrastructure > 7 new treatment plats, 95% had access to mains water by 2014
