Q

What are the limitations of peer review?

A
  • Anonymity may be used to criticise rival work bc there is a lot of competition and limited funding
  • Publication bias for headline grabbing research and what doesn’t meet this will be ignored
  • Reviewers may be critical if it doesn’t reflect personal view and ground breaking research may be buried
