Magma cools very slowly deep in earths crust, weathering over millions of years exposes it

Lava from a volcano cools very quickly on earths surface its black in colour and is shaped in a hexagon kind of shape and can be seen in giants causeway in Antrim Derry plateau

Made up of small particles that are compressed together t of orm layers of solid rock

Formed from rocks that already exist, form into stronger harder rocks due to great heat and pressure
