Multiplication Principle, if n is done in k stages (k at least = 2) then n1n2…*nk.

(each die has 6 outcomes, if you were to throw a pair of dice it’s similar to throwing it two times, then it would be 6*6)

How many 3 digit numbers can you form from 5 distinct numbers (Without replacement)

Answer 2

5 * 4 * 3 = 60

By permutation
