310 Oxygen Bottle:

Secure in bracket. - 2 L/min (Limited by supplemental oxygen mask itself).

- Avoid grease or oil (explosion).
Dont use near open flame.
Wipe heavy makeup off persons face (grease based makeup can ignite).
Handle bottles with care ( dont drop). -
RITE.
Remove dust cover.
insert metal connector of mask to bottle.
turn valve fully anti clockwise.
ensure oxygen is flowing using flow indicator.
120 Oxygen Bottle:
1. Location?

- 50 min @ 2L/min AND 25 min @ 4L/min.

Pilot Oxygen Mask:

- Quick donning system located at each pilots seat. can be used in all cockpit oxygen outlets and with 310L bottle or 120L bottle in some aircraft.
- Diluted mixes ambient air with 100% oxygen.
- Emergency selector supplies 100% continuous oxtgen flow.
- Should always be on 100% oxygen (slid closest to the face).
Smoke Mask:
1. Location?

5. Operation?
- Forward Cabin.
- Contained in sealed bag and undamaged.
- Dangerous goods spill or tending to passengers during smoke event.
- Roughly 20 min (on demand) or 10 min (constant flow).
- Sling 310L bottle across bottle, wearing it in front of torso.
- insert mask connector to bottle outlet.
- turn on/off regulator fully anti-clockwise.
- Purge smoke mask by pressing emergency selctor to ensure oxygen is flowing.
- Put on mask and tighten all 5 straps.
- Use emergency selctor to regulate flow of oxygen = full anti clockwise is constant flow, fully clockwise is on demand.
Cabin Oxygen System:

- Randomly positioned above seats in the cabin. (some A/C have one above every seat, some only have 4).
- Visually check outlets free from debris (avoid handling unnecessarily).
Supplemental Oxygen Masks:
1. Used by who and oxygen from where?

- Used by PAX to get oxygen from PSU.
- 1x flight deck (above jump seat), 4x emergency equipment cupboard.
BCF Fire Extinguisher:
1. Location?
2. Features?
3. Pre-flight serviceability check?

7. Precautions?
- Flight deck, forward cabin and aft cabin (3 in total).
- Nozzle.
- indicator disc.
- Pressure guage.
- operating handle (trigger).
- Safety catch.
- Secure in bracket and needle in the green or indicator disc present (one or the other).

* Hold upright and remove safety catch.
* Squeeze trigger with palm of hand.
* discharge entire bottle in sweeping motion (except waste bin which may not require full amount)
* If fire in cockpit, use 100% oxygen.
- 15 seconds.
- 3 metres.
- Avoid firing too close to liquid fires (will spread fire).
- dont make contact with electrical wires.
- Use puritan bennett smoke hood to avoid inhaling agent.
- high concentrations of BCF agent can cause dizziness and impaired coordination.
Heat Protection Gloves:

- One paur in flight deck (red box next to FO), 1 pair in cabin ( second overhead locker).
- Heat protection up to 250 degrees for 15 seconds.
- abrasion and puncture resitant.
- extended cuff for wrist protection.
Life Jackets:

- 3 in flight deck.

* Place DH inside one bag take off gloves and mask and place in other bag.
* close first bag squeeze air out and cable tie shut.
* place first bag in second bag.
* place bags in tray on floor inside locket toilet/trolley. - follow up contact with flight deck
- manage and oversea.

How to use compass?
- Hold compass level in your hand.
- check position of magnetic north.
- travel in the direction required.
Signal Mirror operation?
- Reflect sunlight onto nearby surface.
- bring mirror up to eye level and look through small sighting hole.
- mainipulate aim indicator (bright spot) to move onto target.
- flash target by moving aim indicator on and off target.
- continue scanning horizon even if no target present.
Flexi Cuffs:
