kEY INTERIOR FEATURES

A

-continuity from exterior

Downstairs 2 bedrooms, studio, kitchen/living

-Upstairs working/sleeping, balconies, living room = entirely removed creating a free and open plan.

-flowing space, Sliding partition walls on the upper floor

-attention is given to small touches - ledges, stairs, shelves, window ledges and mullions. This attention to detail recalls Rietveld’s training as a cabinet maker

-The Schröder house is therefore a ‘total work of art’ where sculpture, architecture and practical applied arts are fused together in harmo-ny.
