What is erosion?
Wearing away and transformation of soil and rock by glaciers, running water and weather (rain, wind, frezing and thawing)
Provide an example of erosion that happened in Quebec
A mountain range called the Laurentides
What happened to the Laurentides?
Over time, rain, running water and wind have crumbled rock and significantly eroded the mountains
A major ice age also wore down the rock as the glaciers slid over it
What are the Laurentide mountains part of today?
The Canadian Shield
