What are plains?
Generally have a low, flat relief
Sometimes come from ancient riverbeds or seabeds
What is an example of a plain near you?
The Saint Lawrence Plain
What are hills?
Low bulges in the relief
What is an example of a hill near you?
Mont Saint-Hilaire
What are mountains?
Very high type of relief with steep slopes
What do you call a bunch of mountains in a row?
A mountain range
What are valleys?
Long stretches of land
Often found between 2 mountains
What usually causes valleys?
Erosion from water running off the mountains

North-east of Canada (including 90% of Quebec)
