What are the ingredients of photosynthesis?
Air, Carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight
Create a food chain:
Dandelion Plant—–Aphid—–Ladybug—-Robin—-Hawk
What would happen if dead plants and animals didn’t decompose?
If dead plants and animals didn’t decompose they would all pile up on the surface. This would also cause no nutrient intake for the soil leading to the deaths of many plants which doesn’t help consumers who need the energy.
What critical part do decomposers do in our matter process?
Decomposers convert Abiotic to Biotic elements, as well as recycling. For example they convert dead plants and animals into energy.
Examples of Producers:
Grass, Dandelions, Trees, algae, and duckweed
Examples of herbivores:
deer, rabbits, cows, sheep, goats, elephants, giraffes, horses, and pandas.
Examples of carnivores:
hominids, pigs, badgers, bears, foxes, coatis, civets, hedgehogs, opossums, skunks, sloths, squirrels,, chipmunks, mice, hamsters and rats.
Examples of omnivores:
bears, birds, dogs, raccoons, foxes, certain insects, and even humans.
Examples of scavengers:
Crows and Ravens
What is a producer and a consumer?
A producer is a plant that used photosynthesis to produce energy, and a consumer consumes that plant to obtain the energy.
What is a food chain and a food web?
A food chain starts with a producer and ends with a consumer. This shows the eating patterns of organisms in an ecosystem. A Web is a bunch of interconnected food chains.
What is a scavenger and a Carnivore?
A scavenger is an animal that feeds on already dead animals, and a carnivore is a meat eater.
What is a detrivore and a decomposer?
A detrivore is an organism that feeds on large parts of animals and plants. A decomposer is what eats the leftovers of the organism after the detrivores and consumers have taken there parts.
What is the difference between a primary and secondary consumer?
A primary consumer is the role that consumes the plants which first create energy. Secondary consumers consume the primary consumers.
True or false?
algae: Producer
Larvae: Primary
Sunfish: Secondary
Bass: Tertiary
TRUE
What does energy flows and matter cycles mean?
This means energy is lost at each stage of the pyramid
Why is the amount of animals decreasing at each stage of the pyramid?
This is because the ecological pyramids are a visual representation of energy loss at each level in a food chain. therefore the amount of animals decrease.
TRUE OR FALSE????
Producer: Grass
Primary: Rabbit
Secondary: Duck
Tertiary: Eagle
TRUE ( KINDA )
Are long food chains less effective?
Long food chains are less effective because energy is lost at each stage, so it will take longer to transfer due to the amount of oppenents involved in the food chain, so each organism will use less which will make it longer.
Why is a rotting log an ecosystem? Create a food chain?
Sun—-moss—bacteria—termites
what happens to the carbon and water cycle if an oil spill occurs?
If an oil spill occurs it will pollute our drinking water and the air will be trapped in Earth’s atmosphere
What happens when pesticides enter our sewage?
Are air and water would be pollutes
How does gas emissions affect water and carbon?
Who ever this is: IDk
Me: how do y’all not know 😭
No garden waste placed in gardens
