How is a raised beach formed?

A
  • wave quarrying and corrasion undercut the cliff = wave cut notch

  • overtime, abandoned wave cut notch with rounded stones gets removed by waves
  • as weight is lifted, land is uplifted
  • overtime creates a raised beach
