Who arrive at a crime scene first?

A uniformed Police officers

What do police officers do?
A
Their first job is to make the scene safe and to attend to any injured people. The officer may call backup and will also physically secure the crime scene from any contamination using barrier tape.

A
Names and addresses of eyewitnesses whilst waiting for detectives and forensic teams to arrive.

What happens to the dead bodies?
A
The officer will leave the body and the crime scene undisturbed
