what does the term gatekeeper mean in terms of the news? (ku)
these are the people who decide what to publish or not and news selection depends on three factors,

the idea that the media doesnt tell people what to think but tells them what to think about, by chosing which stories to cocer and how prominently they feature them, the media issues what the public considers important
