what is performance accomplishment
succesfull performances will enhance self confidence.
what is vicarious experiences
observation of an athlete similar age and ability successfully performing a task will enhance the self confidence of the observer
what is verbal persuasion
when players/coachers improve an athletes self confidence based on verbal persuasion from other, it can be helpful when that person is an expert in that field
what is imaginal experiences
athletes may obtain more self confidence by visualizing them selves successfully performing a particular skill/task
what is physiological states
physicqal state of an athletes body when performing a skill/ task (heart rate)
what is emotional states
athletes experiencing posotive emotions are more likely to have a greater self confidence than if they where experiencing negative emotions
