what is a questionnaire
a written method of collecting data, online or on paper
what is an interview
a verbal way of collecting data through asking someone questions and expecting an answer on a topic
what is a structured interview
an interview where the same pre planned- questions are asked to participants in the same order
what is a semi-structured interview
an interview with pre-planned questions, with the ability to ask follow up questions
what is an unstructured interview
an interview with a topic to talk about with no pre-planned questions
what is an open question
a question with a blank line underneath for participants to answer in whichever style they want, with no restrictions
what is a closed question
a question which gives answers to the participants and the participant has to answer the most appropriate response
what is a rating scale
a scale in which participants would rate in regards to their attitudes and opinion on a topic
what is a likert scale
a statement which has numbers in which participants have to rate their emotions from agree to disagree
what is a semantic differential scale
a polar opposite scale in which participants rate on a line how far they feel towards a certain topic. for example hot-cold, happy-sad
