Romeo and Juliet do nit confide in their parents on their love?
Young adults see their parent’s as potential obstacles to their happiness
Capulet’s CONTRASTING stands on Juliet’s marriage at the start and end of the play?
Fathers should begin to see their daughters as people and not property and girls should not be wedded so early
Juliet having to plot behind her father’s back to be with Romeo spurs on the tragedy
Gender and parental roles need to change so women and daughters, specifically, can live happier lives where they are in control of their own destiny and, also, have a closer relationship with parents who are suppose to be helpers not lords.(people who only want obedience from children)
How does Shakespeare stress some of the main themes and ideas in the play?
He gives many characters like Lady Capulet, Friar Lawrence, Mercutio e.t.c. lines that INADVERTENTLY LINK TO/ REINFORCE these ideas
