What is sexual harassment?
Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or any other verbal, nonverbal, or physical actions that are nonviolent.
What are the different categories of sexual harassment?
Verbal

What are the two types of reporting?
Restricted
Unrestricted
What is a restricted report?
Allows the victim on a confidential basis to disclose the details of the assault to specifically identified individuals and receive medical treatment and counselling without opening an official investigation.
What is an unrestricted report?
Allows victim to receive medical treatment and counseling opens an official investigation. Victim has the right to request immediate unit transfer.
What are the goals of the SHARP program?
Create a climate that minimizes SHARP incidences
Encourage victims to report incidents without fear
Establishes training and awareness programs to educate soldiers
Sensitive and comprehensive treatment to restore victims health and well being
Ensure leaders understand their roles and responsibilities
What is the difference between a restricted and unrestricted report?
An official investigation and unit transfer with an unrestricted report.
What are my responsibilities when submitting a complaint?
Advise the command of the specific so they can take appropriate action
Submit only legitimate complaints and exercise caution against unfounded complaints
Recommend to initial resolve the complaint by first informing the offender that the behavior must stop
