Si dysfunction
Pain in Si
Mechanical disorders, due to hyper and hypo mobility , degenerative changes, osteitis condensans illi, fracture, tumors
Sacroiliitis -AS, DISH, Gout and RA
Pain in the side of the knee is more likely to be seen in younger patients
pain pattern may be difficult to define
Ipsilateral buttock pain, LBP, lower extremity pain, mainly pain over the SI
Pain is described as Dull or sharp, stabbing or knifelike
Osteiitis Condensans illi
Traumatic septic osteitis pubis
Mc and women primarily during pregnancy
Related to ligamentous disruption of loading with pelvic girdle , instability of the pelvic griddle
S/S: pain and gain abnormalities.
Coccydinia
Refers to pain in the coccyx region and Buttocks
Affects individuals of all ages, although it’s 5x more common in women
Majority of cases is due to hyper mobile coccyx, or history of trauma
Presentations :
Low back pain
Worst one sitting and rising from a seated position
Feeling of defecation
Localized swelling in the coccyx and sacral coccygeal joints
