How to determine number of sig figs in any value:

A

Any non-zero value is significant!
Any zero found between any two non-zero values is significant.

When a decimal place is present:
Look for the first non-zero number
Any zero to the left of it is NEVER significant
Any zero to the right of it is ALWAYS significant
