Simpkin sneaks into the house and stealthily takes the twist back. As she does, she hears the tailor cough and hack in his sleep, sick from stress. Guilt pangs through her, but she takes the twist. Over the course of the next two days, Simpkin watches the Tailor from outside to see his turmoil.
Oh, Peter. I think this was a bad idea, a very bad idea indeed. I thought that if I made my owner upset just like he had made me, I would feel better. But now I only feel worse!
