Q

glycogen

A
  • found in liver
  • PAS reaction
  • two sections- one starved other recently fed
  • recently fed- intense magenta observed- glycogen granules in the liver cells- positive PAS reaction
  • at large mag- glycogen is not evenly distributed in cells laid down in one of the cell poles- the escape of glycogen- due to the tissue processing prior to the PAS reaction.
