Q

Tell me about Ozzy’s class background

A

Working class
Blue collar
Proud but restrained

The house was paid off by Jason’s 40s but repairs were always delayed. The front lawn was trimmed but the paint on the porch was chipped. It was clean but called both financially and emotionally.

We didn’t rely on food stamps, but we rarely went out to dinner unless it was a funeral or someone’s graduation .

There was always beer in the fridge, but soda was a treat.

What was the neighbourhood like where Ozzy grew up?

A

Their area wasn’t dangerous, but it was tough and tired. A working class suburb where kids grew up fast and everyone knew each other’s business.
