What is Informative social influence?

A

​ISI is based on the quality of information and which group has the best information. When entering a new group we are often uncertain about what is right and wrong, by using the groups responses we determine what is correct.

What is Normative social influence?

A

NSI is based on the opinions and social norms of the group. The norms of the group regulate the behaviour of the group and it is believed that people conform to these norms in order to not feel foolish.
