Why was this important?

Give at least three examples from the text.

  1. through checks and balances
  2. They wanted to make sure that no branch of the US government could become as capable as the king or British lawmakers.
  3. James Madison believed that, “If men were angels, no government would be necessary.” In other words, if men were better behaved we wouldn’t need a government
  4. the Founding Fathers wanted to make sure that the people were treated fairly by the government, this is why the Bill of Rights was made.
