Pre-Industrial:
Land and goods were the centre of economic activity [agriculture]
Feudalism with no social mobility
Religion and Family were the cornerstones of society
Monarchies ruled with a divine mandate
Post-Industrial:
Factories and services were the centre of economic activity
Capitalism with some social mobility
Importance of Religion and Family reduced
Democracies ruled with popular mandates
Define Anthropology
The study of humans-present and past. It studies who we are and how we have evolved. It is a very broad field with 4 branches:

2. Biological Anthropolgy
3. Archeology
