Q
What is and how do you calculate RPD?
A
Relative Percent Difference. It is calculated using the following formula. A high PD value means there was a significant difference in a measurement between the original and duplicate, suggesting variability in the soil for this measurements and at that depth. Such high RPD values can be due to several factors, including sampling errors, heterogeneity of the soil, or analytical inconsistencies
