Flashcards in Solubility Deck (4)
When temperature increases in a liquid how does the solubility of solid change?
Solubility of solid increases as temperature increases
I.e hotter solvent the more solute can dissolve
What happens to a gas’ solubility when the liquid temperature increases?
A gas’ solubility decreases I.e the hotter the solvent the less gas can dissolve
Any solute that cannot be dissolved collects at bottom of beaker- when no more solute can dissolve it is called saturation
