CHILD CARE PROVIDES 3 SERVICES:

Child development services
A facility that offers, on a regularly scheduled basis, developmental services designed to foster social, emotional, physical, creative, and intellectual growth to groups of children. The centers may provide services for drop-in care when space is available.
child development center
__ Childcare provided on a reimbursable or bartering system and on a regularly scheduled basis for ten (10) hours or more a week by an individual certified by the Coast Guard who resides in Coast Guard-controlled housing.

family support services
is a volunteer who is, most often, the spouse of an active duty or reserve member. If a CO/OIC is unable to select the spouse of an active duty or reserve unit member for their command, there are procedures for requesting a waiver in enclosure (1) of COMDTINST 1750.4E. These procedures include the option to appoint a reservist or an Auxiliary member as an ombudsman.
Ombudsman
is designed to assist Coast Guard members by addressing the family member’s special needs during the assignment process and providing non-clinical case management to families enrolled in the program at their duty locations. A Family Resource Specialist (FRS) in a HSWL RP is the primary point of contact for AD members in the field for all questions regarding the Special Needs Program. The role of the FRS is not to enforce enrollment but to increase program awareness, dispel myths, and encourage enrollment while facilitating access to a range of family support services.

The CG SUPRT Program is a professional staffed service that is available 24/7. Its purpose is to assist CG employees with a wide range of mental health and other life concerns, such as depression. relationship issues, and work stress, which may impact their ability to perform on the job and/or the family.
what is CISM? critical incident stress management
The CISM program assist persons who have been impacted by critical incidents or crisis events. Main purpose is to prevent, stabilize, or minimize harmful psychological effects resulting from reactions to these events.
ex: line of duty deaths, serious line of duty injuries, multi casualty incidents, failed missions, difficult rescues.
CISM services are managed by who? and how do you request CISM help?
Employee assistance program Coordinator, OIC shall notify either the district or area command center, which will notify the health, safety, and WL office in your region. The EAPC within your region from HSWL is responsible with gathering the appropriate commands.
