SOCRATES specific questions for MSK
site - what is pattern of joint involvement? one or more, large or small, symmetrical
onset - when did it start, how quick was onset, is it constant, how regularly if episodic
character - ache. sharp pain, throbbing
radiation - lower back to leg, neck to shoulder etc
associated symptoms - stiffness, swelling, crepitus, erythema, increased temp, fatugue, malaise, depression, rashes, nodules, weight loss, dry mouth/gritty eyes
timing - specific time of day worse/better, how do you sleep
alleviating - NSAID/exercise/rest
exacerbarting - execrcise, rest
severity
PMHx for MSK history
similar episodes prior
any history of trauma
recent infection
diabetes
psoriasis, IBD, coeliacs
TB
any other auto-immune - thyroid, RA, SLE
CVD
