Eosinophilic fasciitis—- likely Vivian had it.

CHARCTERISTICALLY distal digits will be NORMAL, prayer sign can be falsely positive due to forearm involvement.

Why wouldn’t you start patient with cutaneous DM on HCQ

A
  1. It doesn’t work beyond photoprotective effect
  2. Patients have higher incidence of hypersensitivity in DM patient, particularly MDA-5
