Execution of a Normal Takeoff

1. Flaps 0
2. Advance Throttles to achieve 20" MP
3. Check Engine Instruments
4. Release Brake
5. Advance Throttles to Full Power
6. Rudder
7. Rotate at 75 knots
8. 88 knots/Positive Rate - Gear Up

Execution of a Normal Climb-Out

1. Pitch for Vy (88 Knots)
2. 500ft AGL - Set power to 25" MP/2500 RPM
(normally 105 knots)

Go-Around Execution

1. Apply Max. Allowable Power
2. Level wings and stop descent
3. Retract Flaps
4. Accelerate to Vx or Vy
5. Positive Rate - Retract Landing Gear
6. Full Power until 500ft AGL or safe altitude

Slow Flight Setup and Execution

Set Up:
1. MRA 3000' AGL
2. Clearing Turns
3. BCGUMP
U = UP or DOWN as specified
P = High RPM

Execution:
**Flaps - Specified by instructor**
1. Reduce Throttle
2. Maintain Altitude
3. Lower Flaps
4. Rudder
5. Establish airspeed just above stall warning horn

Power-off Stall Setup and Execution

Set Up:
1. MRA 3000' AGL
2. Clearing Turns
3. BCGUMP
U = Gear DOWN
P = Props High RPM

Execution:
1. Power - Idle
2. Maintain Altitude
3. Decelerate to and Maintain 88 knots
4. Nose down to establish normal approach attitude
5. Below 111 - Flaps 40
6. Maintain coordination, heading and bank

Power-off Stall RECOVERY

1. Pitch down
2. Throttles and Props - FULL FORWARD
3. Verify Mixtures are set
4. Level the Wings
5. Maintain coordinated flight
6. Retract Flaps WHILE accelerating to Vx or Vy
7. Positive Rate - Landing Gear UP

Power-on Stall (TAKEOFF configuration) Setup and Execution

Set Up:
1. MRA 3000' AGL
2. Clearing Turns
3. BCGUMP
U = Gear DOWN
P = Props HIGH RPM

Execution:
1. Flaps 0
2. Maintain Altitude
3. Decelerate to and Maintain 75 knots
4. Apply 18" of MP (throttles)
5. Enter Normal Climb
6. Increase pitch until stall/impending stall

Power-on Stall (DEPARTURE configuration) Setup and Execution

Set Up:
1. MRA 3000' AGL
2. Clearing Turns
3. BCGUMP
U = Landing Gear UP
P = Props to 2500 RPM

Execution:
1. Flaps 0
2. Maintain Altitude
3. Decelerate to and Maintain 75 knots
4. Apply climb power (2500 RPM and 18" MP)
5. Enter Normal Climb
6. Increase pitch until stall/impending stall

Set Up:
1. MRA 3000' AGL
2. Clearing Turns
3. BCGUMP
U = Gear DOWN
P = High RPM

Execution:
1. Flaps 0
2. Maintain Altitude
3. Decelerate to and Maintain 82 konts
4. MAINTAIN POWER SETTING
5. Bank 45 degrees
6. Neutralize Rudder and Ailerons
7. Yank

1. Bank 45 (private)/50 (commercial) degrees
2. Increase power
3. Maintain Altitude and Airspeed

Execution:
1. Identify, verify and feather inop engine
2. Zero Sideslip (2 deg Bank, Rudder to maintain Heading)
3. Secure Engine
4. Monitor CHT (Cowl Flaps as needed)

1. Set one engine to Zero Thrust

The fresh air blower automatically shuts off when the nose gear up limit switch is in the closed position!
