What is statistical infrequency?

A

A behaviour is seen as abnormal if it is statistically uncommon, or not seen very often in society

How is statistical infrequency used in IQ?

A

Most of the population have an IQ between 70 and 130. An IQ of less than 70 or more than 130 is statistically infrequent and therefore considered abnormal

Very high IQ and very low IQ but one is socially acceptable, this means it could never alone make a diagnosis
