What is given to patients with Chlamydia?

A

Doxycycline 100mg BD for 7 days but in pregnancy Azithromycin 1g single dose orally on day 1. Then 500mg on days 2 and 3.

What is given to patients with Candidiasis?

A

Oral fluconazole ( 150mg single dose) is first line but if the patient declines this treatment, Clotrimazole intravaginal pessary 500mg

What is given to patients with Gonorrhoea?

A

1g IM cefatrioxone and abstain from sex for 7 days

What is given to patients with Trichomonas Vaginalis?

A
  • Metranidazole 400mg BD for 5-7 days
  • Sex should be avoided for 7 days and their partner should receive the same treatment to avoid re-infection
