16
Q

from the furthest point from the PES to the travers what angle and distance through the travers does a line need to go?

A

Go through at least 1m from 2 degress at a higiet of 0.6 m and 2.4m from the top of the stack

17
Q

Types of contrustion of traverse

A

I - Double slope earth mound
II - Single slope vertical face earth mound ( or partial vetical face mound)
III- steep double slope eath mound or chilver type
IV - bunker building or combined traverse this includes fully buried building not more than 600mm below ground level
V - wall traers contrcuted of brick reinforce contrete and compostie contsruction
VI - natural features of site hillock these are to be the same as type I at a minumin size

18
Q

traversing factors in building

A

Stability
Not debris hazard

19
Q

What are the two types of QD?

A

Inside - PES/ES to ES/PES
Outside - PES to anything but a PES

20
Q

What are the two catorgories from inside?

A

Inter magazine distance
Process building distance

21
Q

What are the three catorgories for outside?

A

Public traffice route distnaces (PTRD)
Inhabited building distances (IBD)(civvies or MOD personnel not related to the site live, work or gather)
Vunerlable building distance (VBD) - purple line

22
Q

Any HD 1.4 can be mixed with CG B,C,D,E,F,G,N, or S in all HD

A

Articles of HCC 1.4S may be mixed in storage with substances or articles of CGs B,C,D,E,F,G,H,J,N, or S in all HDs

23
Q

What is aggregation?

A

Mixing of HDs 1.1-1.6

24
Q

What is unitization?

A

Partition of explsoives by divindng walls, delay in communcation, onkly applicable when stored in orginal packaging

QD = 50m
LEss then 10kg non frag
No LOS between stack
minium of 1m between stacks

25
What is grouped PES?
When IMD are to small for liencings you group them as one PES You can group CGs that cant mix in the two seperate buildings. allows more freedom IF diffenret buildings you take the lowest value and use it for both
26
What is a compartmented building?
Seperate rooms no connecting doors at least meduim wall R&I bay needs to be heavy wall indivudal bay is Individual PES 5 Units 5 liences
27
Ristrictions on compartmented buildings?
Compartments containing 1.1 1.2.1 and 1.3.3 cannot be adjacent two bays containing HD 1.1 have to be trhee buffer bays buffer compartments may be empty or contain inert items or contain HD 1.2.2 1.3.4 or 1.4 1.1 to 2500kg 1.3.3 5000kg 1.2.1 1.2.2 1.3.4 to be liencesed capacity OQD will dicate if less than max aggregation to be in each bay seperatley ( Dont forget they will change the HD or CG depedning on what you mix)
28
What is ESM?
Explsoive safeguarding map
29
Whats the difference between registered and unregistered ESM?
Registered OQDs exceed MOD boundary Unregistered OQDs are with MOD boundary
