Structure Of Skeletal Muscles Flashcards

(3 cards)

1
Q

Describe the structure of muscle fibres.

A
  • giant muscle cells
  • cylindrical shape
  • surrounded by a membrane called a sarcolemma
  • contains sarcoplasmic reticulum which is a store of calcium ions
