the divine rights of king is where someone who is on the throne believes that they can do whatever they want on the throne because god put them there so it’s ok
what kind of king was james the iv and i?
james believed in the divine rights of the king. he also often had arguments with parliament about money and taxes. when he was king england was never in any big wars and he also wrote many books.
name the two sides in the english civil war?
parliamentarians and the royalists
who won the english civil war and why?
the parliamentarians won the war because they had a better army (new model army) lead by oliver cromwell they also had popular support from the people.
why was charles i executed?
he was executed because he lost the civil war most importantly and then was executed for all the murder stealing and death done during the civil war and parliament felt he couldn’t be trusted.
