What is glaucoma
Loss of visual field due to increased intranet ocular pressure which can lead to optical nerve damage

1st line - latanoprost
2nd line - beta blocker e.g. timolol
3rd line - dorzolamide/beinzolamide
Can be given alone or in combinations
SE of glaucoma drops
Dont normally cause systemic SE but can cause burning, itching and stinging in the eyes
What can prostaglandins cause
Changes in iris and lash colour
What is anterior uveitis
Inflammation of the middle layer of eye
Redness and pain is caused
Treatment for anterior uveitis
Corticosteroid eye drops - prednisone and dexametasone
What is subconjunctival haemorrhage
Burst blood vessels in eye
No treatment
What is keratitis
Inflammation of cornea and causes severe pain
What are the symptoms of keratitis
- Severe pain
- Pain when looking at light
- Watery discharge

- real eye pain
- photophobia
- poor vision
- pus in cornea or infection
- pupil abnormality
