What is an EPC?

Energy Performance Certificate. It sets out the energy efficiency rating of a property with recommendations on improving its energy efficiency. Any property marketed or let since 2008 requires an EPC which lasts for 10 years with some exceptions.

What are the MEES for domestic property?

01/04/18 - landlord may not grant a tenancy to new or existing tenants with an EPC Rating of F & G and from 01/04/20 - will not be able to continue letting the property.
