(5 cards)
What type of mechanical switches are operated by a pilot to control individual circuits?
Toggle
Rocker
Push
Pull
What is a toggle switch?
Has a protruding operating lever with two or three selectable positions.

What is a push switch?
May incorporate an illuminated message within the switch, known as switchlights.
Example: common in overhead panel of modern airliner.
Sometimes automatic control if some circuits is required, how can this be achieved?
Thermo switches - which are temperature sensitive and activate at pre determined value to either give a warning to the pilot or automatically switch a circuit on or off.
Time switches - either mechanical or electrically controlled to activate a circuit when a preset time interval has elapsed.
