Define speech poverty as a symptom of schizophrenia?
-reduction in the amount and quality of speech
-sometimes accompanied by a delay in the sufferer’s verbal responses during conversation
-speech disorganization where speech becomes incoherent or the speaker changes topic mid sentence also occurs.
