What are the minimum voltages for Batt 1 and 2 during the safety and power up checklist?
22.5V and 21.0V
If lower than 22.5V one or both cannot be below 21.0V.
If between 21.0V and 22.5V, abide by recharge times in table in SOPM
If below 21.0V, report irregularity. DO NOT depart
AC Power Priority
Onside - IDG
Inside - APU
Outside - GPU
Cross Side - Opposite IDG
What are two main components on the DC HOT BAT BUS 1 and 2 that we, as pilots, care about?

How do we access them?
Thermal and electronic
Some thermal CBs are located in the cockpit and are considered non-remote CBs. Others are in the electronics bays and considered remote CBs. Remote CBs must be checked through the MCDU
All electronic CBs are located in the electronics bays. They are remote CBs and must be checked in the MCDU
Briefly explain the purpose of the RAT
Converts kinetic energy of airflow into AC power
Auto deploys and after 8 secs, supplies AC power to AC ESS BUS
Can be manually deployed if directed by QRC/H
What EICAS message would indicate the RAT has NOT deployed during and electrical emergency?
BATT DISCHARGING
What AC BUSES are energized during an electrical emergency BEFORE the RAT deploys?
AC STANDBY BUS
What AC BUSES are energized during an electrical emergency AFTER the RAT deploys?
AC ESSENTIAL BUS

What does the inverter do?
Converts DC to AC to supply the AC STANDBY BUS when AC power not available
What does the Three TRUs do?
Converts AC to DC to supply DC BUS 1, DC BUS 2, DC ESS BUS 3
What is the difference between the OFF and DISC on either IDG Selector?
OFF opens the line contactor, deexciting the IDG
DISC is manual disconnection as directed by QRC/H
What happens when I pull the ENG FIRE handle?
Commands the following shutoff valves closed:
-Fuel SO Valve
-Hyd SO Valve
-Bleed Air SO Valve
-X-Bleed Valve
What happens when I rotate the ENG FIRE handle?
Rotating handle counterclockwise discharges Bottle A into associated engine.
Rotating handle clockwise discharges Bottle B into associated engine.
How many halon bottles serve engine fire suppression?
2
How do you know the fire is actually out?
Not out?
CAS message goes away if fire is out
If not out the handle light might be gone but if the CAS message is still present the fire is NOT out
What does the APU Emergency Stop Button do?
Closes the APU Fuel SOV
Shuts down the APU
Lights up APU Fire Extinguisher push button
What does the APU Fire Extinguisher button do?
Discharges extinguishing bottle
