Q

ECU channels

A

each ECU splits into two completely isolated channels (A and B)
each channel can accomplish all functions on its own
channel A is active by default
automatically switches to channel B if needed
can also manually switch to channel B with swap switch (considered an emergency which MUST be declared)
if both channels fail -> engine shuts down

Q

what does ECU control

A

regulates fuel-air mixture
sets prop pitch via governor
controls engine RPM
opens/closes turbocharger waste gate
full list of ECU sensors: 7-59
other fulls list in POH
