  • Creates space for lymphatic drainage and blood flow.
  • Decreases pressure around swelling/ injured areas.

What are K-tape application tips? (5)

A
  • Apply 30 mins before athletic activity
  • Apply ends directly onto the skin
  • Set the adhesive by firmly rubbing it
  • Consider anatomy (origin & insertion) of muscle locations & lymph nodes
  • Ensure the joint is fully bent when applying, and put the muscle in a stretched position.
